Anybody can buy shingles. Not every roofer can install them the way the manufacturer requires.

Your roof is installed correctly — the right underlayment, nailing pattern, and ventilation, the way the shingles were engineered to be installed
Your warranty actually holds up — GAF coverage depends on a certified installer; cut corners on the install and the coverage can fall apart when you need it

We’ll Tell You Straight
A shingle roof doesn’t always need replacing just because it’s got a problem. Some roofers will tell you it does anyway, because a new roof is a bigger check.
We won’t. After we inspect it, we’ll tell you honestly whether a shingle roof repair will hold or whether the roof is worn out and you’re better off with a full replacement. If a repair makes sense, we repair it. If you genuinely need a new roof, we’ll show you why — with photos — and let you decide.

Installed correctly and kept ventilated, architectural shingles typically last a good deal longer than older three-tab shingles, which is why we recommend them for most homes in our area. Philadelphia’s summers and freeze-thaw winters are hard on a roof, so lifespan really comes down to two things: the quality of the shingle and the quality of the install. We handle both.
What are early warning signs a shingle roof needs replacement?
The big ones are granule loss (bald spots on the shingles, or granules collecting in your gutters), shingles that are lifted, curling, or cracking, and any shingles that are missing entirely. Dark streaks, sagging areas, and leaks in more than one spot are all signs the roof is near the end. If you’re seeing any of these, get it looked at before a small problem becomes a wet ceiling.
