Most residential roof replacements are a 1 to 2 day job, depending on the size of the roof, the pitch, and the weather. Bigger or more complex roofs take longer, and we’ll tell you up front how long yours should take.
Before we start, we’ll walk you through the whole process: what day we’re coming, how we protect your property, and what to expect while the work is going on. When we’re finished, we clean up thoroughly, magnet-sweep for nails, and haul away every scrap of the old roof.

Most residential roof replacements take 1 to 2 days, depending on the size and pitch of your roof and the weather. Larger or more complicated roofs can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline up front so you’re not left guessing, and we clean up completely before we leave.
What is included in a full roof replacement?
A full replacement means tearing off the old roof, inspecting and repairing the decking underneath, then installing new underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and roofing material to GAF standard. We haul away the old roof and clean up the site when we’re done. Layering new shingles over an old roof isn’t a real replacement, and we don’t do it.
Do I need a permit for a new roof in Philadelphia?
In most cases a roof replacement in Philadelphia requires a permit, and pulling it is part of doing the job correctly. Garrison handles the permitting so you don’t have to chase it down.
What warranty comes with a new roof?
